MEET OUR 2017 EXECUTIVE BOARD!
Olivia Ritchie, President
Class of 2018, Biochemistry
I am a fourth year Biochemistry student from San Jose, California. I am a country music fanatic and a lover of all coffee. Sigma Kappa has blessed me with a house I call home and friends that I call sisters. I am incredibly honored to represent our chapter as President this year and I cannot wait to see all that we accomplish. My favorite Sigma Kappa memory was last year when my biological sister was initiated! Being able to call her my sister by blood and by choice is an amazing feeling. My time at Cal Poly and life outside of college would be so different if wasn't for these ladies. I am forever grateful to be a Sigma Kappa.
Cassidy Alford, Executive VP
Class of 2018, Business Administration
I'm a fourth year Business Administration major concentrating in Accounting. I'm from El Centro, CA and so happy to have spent my college years here at Cal Poly! Food, dramatic television, and all things country are my life! Sigma Kappa has opened so many doors for me and given me opportunities I never knew would have such an impact in my life. It's amazing to work along side such strong, driven young women!
Jana Johnson, VP of New Member Education
Class of 2018, Agricultural Business
I'm a fourth year agricultural business major hoping to one day attend medical school and become a doctor. My favorite Sigma Kappa moment was right before we were initiated and my new member class had a huge sleepover in the chapter room of our house! We all woke up at 5:00 am the next morning to watch the sunrise at Avila Beach. It was amazing! My hobbies include going to the beach, cooking and spending time with my friends and family.
Alexa Easley, VP of Membership
Class of 2018, Communication Studies
Hey, I'm Alexa Easley! I'm a Communication Studies major from Sacramento, CA. I'm a lover of traveling, binge watching Buzzed Tasty videos, and spending time with my amazing and uplifting sisters. The women I've met in Sigma Kappa are my late night fast food accomplices, my core-aching laugh providers, and my lifelong best friends. When I went through recruitment my freshman year, I immediately knew Sigma Kappa was my home. This year, I am so excited to plan recruitment and help PNMs find their homes too! XO
Megan Day, Social Chairman
Class of 2019, Journalism
I am a third year Journalism major while pursuing a minor in Law and Society, with hopes to attend law school after graduation! When I’m not planning social events for my beautiful sisters or studying, you can most likely find me watching The Office, going to SLO DO CO, or cracking bad jokes with my friends. It is a dream come true to serve on Sigma Kappa’s Executive Board. I am so grateful to give back to the empowering group of women who have taught me to believe in myself, and who saw potential in me that I didn’t see before joining our chapter.
Jade Hargrove, Sisterhood Chairman
Class of 2019, Sociology
I was born and raised in Long Beach, CA but sadly, I don't know Snoop Dogg. I do however, know three languages and can consume my body weight in al pastor tacos. I'm studying sociology with a concentration in Pre-Law to hopefully attend law school and eventually professionally argue! My favorite activities are drenching foods in hot sauce, making people laugh, sleeping, and hanging out with my Sigma Kappa sisters. Sig Kap introduced me to some of the most strong-willed, kind hearted, loving, and compassionate women I have ever met. I constantly feel inspired by each and every single girl. I couldn't imagine my life without my. best friends and our amazing sisterhood.
Claire Lorentz, VP of Philanthropic Services
Class of 2018, Business Administration
I am a fourth year Business Administration student concentrating in Information Systems and minoring in Spanish. I am originally from Pleasanton, California; however, I do not like being stationary in one place because I am passionate about traveling and seeing the cultures of other countries. This past year I have traveled around South America, North America, Africa, South East Asia, and Europe. For now, I am finally settled in SLO and serving as VPPS for the lovely ladies of Epsilon Omega. These girls keep me grounded and always put a smile on my face!
Bella Beckman, VP of Communications
Class of 2018, Business Administration
I am a fourth year Business Major with a concentration in Accounting. I was born and raised in Torrance, CA located in Southern California. Coming to Cal Poly, I knew I wanted to join a sorority and immediately felt at home with Sigma Kappa. I’ve met so many amazing girls who I’m also lucky to call my sisters. I've found some of my best friends and future bridesmaids. They're my home away from home which is more than I can ask for, especially because I can admit I get super homesick! Sigma Kappa will always be an amazing part of my life and I couldn't imagine life without Sigma Kappa!
